Exam to qualify for MBBS admission in Bangladesh & Nepal

The only exam that you have to qualify for MBBS admission in Nepal and Bangladesh is NEET. As per the instruction stated by MCI in 2019, qualifying for NEET is mandatory to take MBBS admission. 

There is an advantage to taking admission in Bangladesh & Nepal. You don’t need to sit for any specific college entrance exam there. Whereas in India you have to give an entrance exam in several private medical colleges. 

Eligibility Criteria for studying MBBS in Bangladesh 

This section is one of those important ones that you can’t be sure of just by googling. It’s because there are different eligibility criteria for different countries. Check below to know the criteria regarding Bangladesh:

  • NEET Qualification is mandatory 
  • Students must have studied Physics, Chemistry, and Biology as core subjects 
  • Minimum GPA score will be 7 out of 10 GPA in Biology must be 3.5(60%) 
  • Students must be 17 years old 
  • The Year of passing class 10 should not be before 2019 
  • The Year of passing class 12 should not be before 2021 

 

Eligibility Criteria for studying MBBS in Nepal

Nepal differs a bit from Bangladesh in terms of eligibility criteria. Those are mentioned below…

  • NEET Qualification is mandatory (Current Year)
  • Students must score 50% in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology as core subjects 
  • General NEET Cut Off for the 2022 – 2023 session must be 117 or above 
  • Students must be 17 years old
  • General category students must have 50 percentile in NEET 

 

Medical certification is a must
