Are there any changes made in the exam pattern of NEET, 2023?

This is another important query made by medical aspirants. As the NEET exam pattern doesn’t change every year, usually students don’t make any queries. 

But yes, this time there are several changes made in the NEET examination pattern. No changes in the NEET syllabus but in the exam pattern

Previously there was no chapter-wise section division made in the exam pattern. But in the NEET exam of 2023, all students need to attend two sections of each subject.

ZOOLOGY BOTANY
 A SECTION = 35

SECTION B = 15

THE SECTION A = 35

THE SECTION B = 15

You cannot attend more than 10 questions from the Section B of any subject 
Within 30 hours and 20 minutes, you need to give an exam for 720 marks

Above are the major changes made in the exam pattern that you need to keep in mind. 

How NEET score and NEET ranking are different? 

Medical students usually start preparing for NEET from class 11 only. But at that time students are not much aware of every fact. 

Every year after the NEET result every candidate receives a NEET scorecard where his personal details are mentioned. But NEET rank is not for everybody.

Only the top 15 medical aspirants receive the NEET rank, this 15 NEET rank is considered AIR 15 or All INDIA RANK 15. 

How many times can I attempt NEET?

Perhaps it’s a common query but this is also important for NEETprep. Do you know after 2020 the NTA changed the criteria in case of the number of attempts? 

Yes before 2020 the number of NEET attempts was 3. But after 2020 as per the notice published by NTA, a candidate can attempt NEET as many times as he wants to. 

And the minimum age for attempting the NEET examination is 17 years. 

What books to read while preparing for NEET, 2023?

The syllabus for the NEET examination is too vast hence studying in detail is important. For NEET preparation reading the NCERT books are essential for a basic understanding as in the examination students gonna attempt application-based questions.

  • Trueman’s Biology – Vol 1 and Vol 2.

Have a Clear Idea of the NEET Syllabus

These are the basic NCERT books that you need to go through in detail. But for a concrete NEET preparation, you should also need to have a thorough idea of the syllabus as well. 

To excel in NEET, one must focus on three subjects, namely Physics, Chemistry, and Biology. It is crucial to pay attention to specific chapters while preparing for the exam, considering the vast syllabus. Thus, it is recommended to practice essential topics chapter-wise.
